Chicken Korma Recipe
In this chicken is marinated with garlic, onion, paprika, ginger, salt and pepper and cooked with coriander, chili, cumin, cardamom seeds, poppy seed and turmeric.
Ingredients:
1. Chicken ( 2 ½ pound)
2. Yogurt ( 2cups)
3. garlic (3 cloves)
4. Medium onions, chopped (2)
5. paprika (1 tsp)
6. fresh ginger, chopped (2 tsp)
7. peanut or sunflower oil (2 tsp)
8. ground coriander (2 tsp)
9. ground chili (1/2 tsp)
10. cumin (1 tsp)
11. Seeds of 2 peeled cardamom pod
12. poppy seed (1 tsp)
13. turmeric (1 tsp)
14. bay leaf (1)
15. fresh coriander, chopped (2 tbsp)
16. salt and pepper (to taste)
Method Of Preparation:-
1. Take the chicken and marinate in garlic (1), onion (½), yogurt, paprika, salt and pepper for few hours.
2. Now heat the oil and saute onions and garlic for just one minute. Remove it and set aside. Now add chili, coriander, cumin, turmeric, cardamom seeds and poppy seeds and fry them for a few minutes.
3. Add the chicken and pour enough of water in it and the left over marinade. Now add onions and garlic with bay leaf.
4. Now simmer the gas and cook the chicken for 45 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Remove it from the gas and serve it by spraying the coriander leaves on it.
