Citrus and Garlic Chicken Pasta Recipe
Ingredients
Penne pasta (1lb), thinly sliced chicken breast (4pieces), oranges (4), onion (1med.), head of garlic (1), orange bell peppers (2), whole wheat cibatta bread (4pieces) and fresh sage leaves (10 to 12), fresh rosemary (1sprig), dried rosemary (2tsp), dried oregano (2tsp).
Method of preparation:-
Take onion and garlic and cut it into small pieces. Then take orange pepper and cut it into ¾ inch cubes. Take a pan, heat oil in it and sauté vegetables in it for about 1 minute. Take out the veggies from pan and use the left over oil to coat bread. Place the bread in oven and bake it at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes. Now cook chicken in the pan. When the chicken gets cooked from one side then squeeze the juices and the zest of 2 oranges over chicken in the pan and then heat up the juices for 1 minute. Then add veggies and spices in the pan. When the chicken and vegetables get cooked then take out them from the pan. add pasta in the pan and heat it in left over oil. When the pasta gets heated then add vegetables and chicken back in the pan. Keep it to heat for 1 to 2 minutes to blend the flavors. Transfer it in serving plate and serve it.
