Creamy Ham And Chicken Medley Recipe
Chicken and ham is cooked together in this recipe with milk, mushrooms, cheese and nutmeg.
Ingredients:-
Chopped cooked chicken (2 c.), Chopped cooked ham (2 c.), Fresh mushrooms, sliced (1/2 c.), Butter (1/3 c.), Frozen puff pastry shells, baked {2 (10 oz.) pkgs }, Flour (1/3 c.), Milk, divided (2 1/2 - 3 c.), Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (1 c.), Nutmeg (1/4 tsp.), Salt (1/2 tsp.), Black pepper (1/4 tsp.)
Method Of Preparation:-
In a saucepan, add butter in it and melt it over the medium heat. Now add mushrooms in it and sauté them until tender with stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside. Now melt 1/3 cup butter in the saucepan over the low heat and add flour in it, stirring it until it becomes smooth. Cook it for a minute with continuously stirring. Slowly and gradually add 2 ½ cups milk in it and cook it on a medium heat, stirring constantly, until it becomes thickened and bubbly. Stir in the whipping cream and the all the other ingredients. Cook it with stirring constantly, until the cheese melts and mixture is smooth. Now add chicken and ham in it. Now add the remaining ½ cup of the milk for the thinner consistency. It can be served with pasta or rice.
