Chicken Jalfrezi Recipe

Ingredients
Boneless skinless chicken thighs , cut in half (1 1/2pounds), chopped garlic (2cloves), grated onion (1), vegetable oil (2tbsp), chopped cilantro leaves (1/2c), grated fresh ginger root (2tbsp), ground coriander (3tsp), ground cumin (3tsp), ghee or clarified butter (2tbsp), peeled and diced tomatoes (1can about 14.5 ounces), salt (1 1/2tsp), chili powder (1tsp), ground turmeric (3tsp).

Method of preparation:-
chicken-jalfreziTake a large frying pan, place it over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion in it and cook it for about 2 minutes. Then add chicken in it and salt, chili powder and turmeric in it. Fry it by stirring it regularly and then turning the sides of chicken. Add tomatoes in it with their juices cover the pan and keep it to simmer for about 20 minutes over medium heat. Now uncover the pan and keep it to simmer for about 10 minutes more. Add cumin, cilantro, ginger, ground coriander and ghee in it and keep it to simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes. Now it is ready to serve. Serve it with sauce.
