Applebee’s Low Fat Asian Chicken Salad Recipe
In this recipe marinated chicken is served with lettuce, cabbage, carrots, onions and noodles. It is tasty as well as very nutritious dish.
Ingredients
1. Chicken breast fillets (4)
2. Teriyaki marinade (1 cup)
3. Chopped green onion (1 cup)
4. Crispy chow mein noodles (1 1/3 cups)
5. Chopped romaine lettuce (8 cups)
6. Chopped iceberg lettuce (8 cups)
7. Shredded red cabbage (3 cups)
8. Shredded green cabbage (3 cups)
9. Shredded carrots (2 cups)
Fat-Free Asian Dressing
1. water (2 cups)
2. Granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
3. Salt (1 tsp)
4. Soy sauce (1/2 tsp)
5. White vinegar (1 tbsp)
6. Paprika (1/4 tsp)
7. Ground black pepper (1/4 tsp)
8. Garlic powder (1/4 tsp)
9. Dry pectin (3 Tbsp)
Method Of Preparation:-
1. First take a medium bowl and combine Teriyaki marinade and chicken breasts in it. Now marinate chicken in this for at least 4 hrs.
2. Now take all the ingredients of fat free Asian dressing and prepare it by combining it in a small saucepan and cooking it on a medium heat. Bring mixture to a rolling boil while stirring often with a whisk. Now remove the pan from heat and let it cool. When it is cooled refrigerate it for 2-3 hrs until chill.
3. Take marinated chicken breasts and grill them at high heat in a BBQ grill. Grill chicken for 3-4 minutes per side or until chicken is fully cooked. Now combine red and green cabbage, and iceberg lettuce and romaine lettuce in the dressing and mix and toss it well.
4. Divide it equally in four plates and sprinkle onions and chow mein noodles over each plate. Now sprinkle the cooked and sliced chicken over each plate and put carrots in the center of it and serve it.
